The Green at West Cambridge is the new central open space at the heart of the campus. The 3 hectares project is both green infrastructure as well as a student commons space.

The space utilises the conveyance and storage of approximatly 2,000m3 of stormwater run-off the central feature of the space. The volume of water will fluctuate daily supporting emergent wetland vegetation.

Phase one is the 5,000m2 JJT Garden which sits between Cavendish III & the Shared Facilities Hub in the first phase of works and will be delivered and designed to seamlessly integrate with these two buildings. This first phase of The Greenwill set the design precedents for the future phases..
